Slick Orbital Camera Movements using Free Look Cameras

By using the Cinemachine Free Look Camera, you can enhance the visual experience of your game or application by creating dynamic and cinematic camera movements. It provides a flexible and powerful toolset for controlling cameras and capturing engaging gameplay moments.

To add a free look camera we add a new cinemachine free look camera object.

After adding the object then fill in the follow and look at transforms.

Now that we have things set up the camera works on three ring which are customizable. There are height and radius for each of the rings. Height is how high up the ring is. Radius is the radius at which the camera rotates around the target. The camera moves from one ring to another based on input. In the default settings the camera is controlled by mouse x and y.

Free look cameras are used in gameplay and cutscenes. There are different ways to use this camera.
