Introvert Travels

a poem

A quiet afternoon away
we thought
about exploring
the outdoors,
the sights
we flew so far away
to see

yet settled down
to have a moment
to take in the adventurous moments
already experienced,
to journal and scrapbook
and to read the gems thrifted
from a local bookstore.

Though away from home
it does not change
that at heart, in soul,
we are introverts.
